Fehr Graham in Rockford, IL, is seeking a results-driven Project Manager - Site Development Engineer to lead site development projects from concept to completion for municipal, commercial and industrial clients.

You’ll manage a team of engineers and technicians, prepare scopes and budgets, review designs, coordinate with clients and regulators, and ensure high-quality outcomes while keeping projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Wisconsin or Illinois, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in civil/site development engineering, including project management responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all phases of site development and civil engineering projects, including planning, design, permitting, and construction assistance.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, designers, and technicians to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
• Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, and reports related to grading, drainage, stormwater management, and site layout.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules while ensuring adherence to client expectations and technical standards.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support business development efforts by preparing proposals, attending client meetings, and identifying new project opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations and permitting processes.
