Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Field Engineer (Site Development) in McGregor, Texas, to design, build and activate infrastructure for the McGregor Rocket Development Facility and other SpaceX sites. You will lead tasks from start to finish, coordinating with contractors and internal clients to meet schedules and budgets.

The role requires a BS in construction or engineering, hands-on field experience, and proficiency with GPS/total station surveying and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Qualifications

BS in construction or engineering; 2+ years field experience or 5+ years if no degree.
Experience with heavy earthmoving equipment and site surveying.
Ability to coordinate contractors and manage schedules and safety.

Responsibilities

Coordinate contractors to maintain project schedules and critical path.
Plan construction activities with facility operators to avoid downtime.
Perform daily inspections and verify contractor progress and quality.
Provide site layout to contractors and record as-built information with GPS/Total Station.
Ensure contractors follow OSHA safety standards on site operations.
Resolve design and construction conflicts in real time in the field.
Safely operate earthmoving equipment to support infrastructure work.
