Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Field Engineer (Site Development) to join the Texas Construction Projects team in McGregor, TX. You will design, build, and activate infrastructure for SpaceX facilities, owning tasks from start to finish to keep projects on schedule and safe.

You will coordinate contractors, perform field staking and layout, and oversee earthmoving work while ensuring quality and compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction or engineering and 2+ years in the field on construction projects
• 2+ years of experience operating earth-moving/heavy equipment

Responsibilities

• Coordinate contractors across the site to maintain critical path schedules and safety standards
• Plan construction activities with facility operators to avoid operational delays
• Inspect contractor progress and ensure quality control on critical operations
• Provide site layout and as-built records using GPS/Total Station; manage surveyors as needed
• Ensure OSHA compliance and safe execution of work by contractors
• Collaborate with owners, contractors, and internal teams to develop requirements, schedules, and cost estimates
• Resolve design and construction conflicts in real time on site
• Operate earthmoving equipment as needed to support site utilities, roads, drainage, and pads
