Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Construction Estimator for a multi-entity contractor in Central Florida. The role focuses on complete site development including paving and underground utilities, offering exposure to larger bids and leadership oversight.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of civil construction estimating experience and AGTEK Earthwork proficiency, with opportunities to grow into more complex projects and enhanced ownership.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of estimating experience in site development, excavation or civil construction.
• Hands-on AGTEK experience is required.
• Experience estimating earthwork, grading, underground utilities, paving or concrete scopes.
• Ability to read and interpret civil construction plans, specifications and geotechnical information.
• Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office.
• HeavyBid experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial site development projects.
• Use AGTEK Earthwork for quantity takeoffs, cut-and-fill calculations and site analysis.
• Review civil drawings, project specifications, bid documents and geotechnical reports.
• Develop pricing for labor, equipment, materials and subcontracted work.
• Identify scope gaps, exclusions, cost risks and potential project challenges.
• Participate in bid reviews with the Chief Estimator.
• Visit proposed project sites to support accurate bidding.
