Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Estimator in Florida to prepare cost estimates for earthwork, roadway, drainage, and utilities. You will analyze bid documents, takeoffs, and pricing, coordinating with PMs, engineers, and suppliers to ensure competitive bids.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of construction estimating experience and proficiency with Heavybid, Bluebeam, and AgTek, ensuring DOT compliance and timely bid submissions. Great benefits and growth opportunities provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction estimating or related role.
• Proficiency with Heavybid, Bluebeam, and AgTek.
• Knowledge of DOT standards and regulatory requirements.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical documents, and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, blueprints, and related documents.
• Manage multiple bids to meet deadlines and stay within budget.
• Use Heavybid, Bluebeam, and AgTek to perform takeoffs and prepare estimates.
• Analyze pricing data and provide accurate estimates for asphalt, grading, drainage, site development, roadway, and utilities.
• Ensure estimates comply with DOT standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and team members to drive project success.
• Present estimates to clients and stakeholders during bidding processes.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for quotes.
• Stay updated on market trends and construction practices.
