Job summary

DLR Group seeks a Civil Engineer to join our Omaha team, contributing to the design of site development for mixed-use, commercial, educational, sports, hospitality and municipal buildings. You will work within a dynamic, multidisciplinary group and leverage Civil 3D to create layouts, drainage, utilities and related deliverables.

The Successful Candidate will collaborate with architects and clients, perform civil calculations, prepare reports and permitting documents, and review construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Licensed Professional Civil Engineer (PE) is required.
• 5+ years of civil engineering experience focused on site development.
• Experience in an A/E and/or Civil Engineering design firm.
• Strong communication and collaboration across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects, engineers and clients as part of our integrated design process.
• Design, coordinate and prepare site development documents using Civil 3D across projects.
• Perform complex assignments using best judgement in evaluating and implementing civil engineering techniques.
• Independently perform civil calculations, including code research.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports, narratives and permitting applications.
• Write and review specifications.
• Review shop drawings and construction correspondence.
• Conduct site visits as needed.
