Job summary

DLR Group is seeking a Civil Engineer to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary design team working on mixed-use, commercial, educational, sports, hospitality and municipal projects.

Responsibilities include collaborating with architects and clients, designing site development documents with Autodesk Civil 3D, and producing reports, specifications and permit applications. A PE license and 5+ years of site development experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Civil Engineer (PE).
• 5+ years of civil engineering experience, focused on site development related to buildings.
• Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Working knowledge of Hydraflow, Storm and Sanitary Sewer Analysis, InfraWorks.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with priorities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients as part of our integrated design process.
• Design, coordinate and prepare site development documents using Civil 3D across diverse projects.
• Perform complex calculations, including code research.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports, narratives and jurisdiction permitting applications.
• Write and review specifications.
• Review shop drawings and other construction related correspondence.
• Conduct site visits as needed.
