Job summary

Labcorp in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Phlebotomy Site Coordinator to oversee Patient Service Centers within an assigned area. The role coordinates PSC staff, management and laboratory teams to ensure smooth operation and accurate specimen handling.

You will perform phlebotomy and specimen processing under minimal supervision, travel to additional sites, and support customer service excellence while meeting compliance standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • Phlebotomy certificate or completed training program.

Responsibilities

  • Observe and report performance, compliance or staffing issues to supervisors.
  • Manage and monitor patient flow, wait times, inventory levels and information logs.
  • Monitor monthly productivity reports and report deviations as necessary.
  • Address customer service related issues promptly and respectfully.
  • Promote teamwork and effective communication among coworkers.
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages.
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
  • Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
  • Process billing information and collect payments when necessary.
  • Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
  • Travel to additional sites as needed.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomy Site Coordinator to join our team in Atlanta, GA.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm with 1-hour lunch break, additional days and hours may be required

Job Responsibilities:
  • Observe and report any performance, compliance or staffing related issues to supervisors

  • Promote team work, cohesiveness and effective communication among coworkers
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process billing information and collect payments when necessary
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • 3 years or more experience as a phlebotomist
  • Phlebotomy certificate or completed training program
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5 years or more experience in as a people leader
  • 5 years or more experience as a phlebotomist
Additional Job Standards:
  • In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
  • In depth knowledge of phlebotomy duties, responsibilities and techniques
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

This position will be responsible for the coordination and oversight of activities of Patient Service Centers within an assigned area. The Phlebotomy Site Coordinator will work closely with the PSC staff, management, as well as the laboratory staff and clients to ensure optimal operation of the Patient Service Center. The position will also perform phlebotomy and specimen processing procedures at LabCorp Patient Service Centers under minimal supervision.

Benefits:
  • Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
  • Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
  • Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
  • Phlebotomist’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
