Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Phlebotomy Site Coordinator to join our Macon, GA team. The role involves overseeing phlebotomy operations, ensuring patient flow and accuracy, and maintaining quality in specimen handling.

You will lead a team, support customer service, and travel to additional sites as needed. Strong phlebotomy background, leadership and pediatric experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 5 years or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• 5 years or more leadership/ team lead experience.
• 2 years or more pediatrics experience.
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report any performance, compliance or staffing related issues to supervisors.
• Manage and monitor patient flow, wait times, inventory levels and information logs.
• Monitor monthly productivity reports and report any deviations as necessary.
• Address any customer service related issues in a prompt and respectful manner.
• Promote team work, cohesiveness and effective communication among coworkers.
• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomy Site Coordinator to join our team in Macon, GA. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:30 with a 30-minute lunch break pm, additional days and hours may be required

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• 5 year or more experience as a phlebotomist
• 5 years or more leadership/ team lead experience
• 2 years or more pediatrics experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 8 years or more experience in as a people leader

Additional Job Standards:

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• In depth knowledge of phlebotomy duties, responsibilities and techniques
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
