Job summary

Labcorp in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our patient- focused team. You will perform blood collections, prepare specimens, and ensure accurate data entry and documentation while delivering exceptional service to patients.

The role involves travel to additional sites as needed and requires strong communication and reliability. Work schedule aligns with a 31-hour weekly full-time model, with weekday shifts and potential overtime.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
  • 2 years or more experience as a phlebotomist

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed

Phlebotomist

Atlanta, GA

Schedule

Work Schedule: (31 Hours Weekly Fulltime) Monday-Thursday 7:30am-230:pm with a 30 minute lunch and Friday 7:30am-12:30pm.

Responsibilities
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process billing information and collect payments as necessary

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
  • 2 years or more experience as a phlebotomist
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 years or more of phlebotomy experience
Additional Job Standards
  • In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

  • Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
  • Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
