Job summary

Compass Minerals is seeking a Site Controller in Ogden, UT to lead all site finance and accounting functions, partner with operations to drive profitability, productivity and cost management, and serve as an extension of Corporate Finance and FP&A. The role requires manufacturing finance leadership and a track record of influencing business decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience in manufacturing.
• Experience as Controller, Plant Controller, Site Controller, or similar.
• Strong expertise in FP&A, manufacturing accounting, cost and inventory accounting, internal controls.
• Ability to partner with operations leadership and influence decisions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior finance leader for the production site and partner with site leadership to meet objectives.
• Act as liaison between site operations and Corporate Finance and Accounting, ensuring alignment with goals and reporting requirements.
• Support profitability, productivity, and operational excellence by providing financial guidance and data-driven insights.
• Lead financial reviews, identify risks and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
• Present forecasts, results, and variances; translate financial data into meaningful business insights.
• Lead annual budgeting, recurring forecasting, and long-range planning.
• Develop models, scenario analyses, and performance reports linking operations to financial outcomes.
• Analyze performance and explain variances; identify trends, risks, opportunities; drive forecast accuracy.
• Provide financial leadership for capital investments, productivity projects, and post-investment reviews.
