Job summary

Quantum Computing Inc. is seeking a finance partner to support cost accounting, BOM and inventory controls, and project-level financial planning across multiple sites.

The role interfaces with executives, operations, and development teams to ensure robust reporting and compliant revenue recognition. Ideal candidates have extensive manufacturing finance experience, leadership capabilities, and strong Excel/ERP skills to drive cost optimization and accurate forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Cost accounting and standard costing maintenance.
• Analyze variances and update BoMs, routers, OH rates as necessary.
• Project tracking and cost/pricing modelling for government accounting.
• Revenue analysis and revenue recognition support (ASC606).
• Inventory control, valuation and cycle counting.
• Forecasting, budgeting and monthly operations reporting.
• Audit/SOX support as requested.

Scope of the Job:

This role will provide working level financial support for 2+ operating sites. Depending upon the specific job, it will be based in Bedford, MA or Santa Barbara, CA. It will ensure accurate, timely and robust cost management, reporting, and analysis. The role will serve as financial business partner to the sites’ operations and development teams, liaise with QCi Executive Management, and support Corporate Accounting where appropriate.

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Cost Accounting
• Analyze variances and update BoM’s, Routers, OH rates as necessary
• Project tracking
• Cost and Pricing modelling for government accounting
• Revenue analysis
• Spend analysis, including expense and capital
• CoGS and GM analysis
• Revenue recognition support
• Inventory Control
• Inventory valuation
• Inventory accuracy (incl. oversight of perpetual inventory and cycle counting)
• Inventory obsolescence, reserves, LCM/NRV
• Forecasting, Budgeting
• Monthly forecasting – revenue, expenses
• Cashflow projections
• Reporting (sites)
• Monthly Operations review and reporting, including key financial and operations metrics
• Revenue and spend reporting – by customer, cost center, …
• Cost rationalization tracking, review, controlling
• Engineering project actual vs budget vs forecast
• Ad hoc reporting and analysis
• Audit/SOX Support – Support QCi Audit and SOX activities as requested

SPECIALIST FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE

• Cost Accounting, including standard costing
• US GAAP
• DCAA-compliant accounting
• Revenue Recognition (ASC606)
• Advanced Excel – lookups, pivot tables, querying external data sources (eg SQL tables)
• Deep knowledge of ERP and associated reporting suites in a manufacturing environment
