Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Management, Mechanical, Electrical, Optical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years coordinating engineering or new product development projects.
• Strong customer-facing communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams, managing project schedules, milestones, action items, and phase-gate reviews.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Jira, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering projects from kickoff through production and customer delivery.

Customer & Cross-Functional Coordination

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience coordinating engineering or new product development projects.
• Strong customer-facing communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead project review meetings and communicate effectively with technical and management teams.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams, managing project schedules, milestones, action items, and phase-gate reviews to ensure on-time project execution.
• Ability to understand customer requirements, SOW, SCD, and engineering deliverables, and translate them into actionable project plans.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Jira, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Additional Preferred Skills:

• Experience supporting aerospace, space, defense, telecommunications, or other high-reliability industries.
• Familiarity with New Product Introduction (NPI), engineering change management, and engineering product development processes.
• Technical background in optics, photonics, electronics, RF, semiconductor equipment, aerospace, or other complex engineering systems.
• Familiarity with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and experience working in a regulated environment supporting U.S. government, aerospace, or defense programs.
