Job summary

Heraeus Medevio in White Bear Lake, MN, is seeking a Site Controller to manage all financial data for internal and external users. You will lead the site finance team, drive GAAP reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support decision-making and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 8 years in financial management, accounting, or related roles; Assistant Controller level or equivalent.
• Multi-year experience in manufacturing controlling at a site level with shop floor exposure.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Proficiency in MS Excel; ERP systems (prefer SAP); databases and MS PowerPoint; BI tools a plus.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to plan, structure and execute complex tasks.
• Excellent communication skills; fluent in English; leadership abilities.
• Experience in developing and leading finance teams; driving performance.

Position Summary

The Site Controller for the White Bear Lake, MN location is responsible and accountable for all financial data for internal and external users. The Site Controller will provide accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support effective decision-making and ensure compliance with financial regulations and organizational policies. The Site Controller will provide leadership to the local finance team and will be a strong financial partner to the business with significant contribution to the site management team. The individual will be an active driver within the site management team.

This is an onsite position at the White Bear Lake location.

What You’ll Do Every Day:

• Lead and develop a high-performing finance team at the site. Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Prepare and analyze accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for the site(s). Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with site management, sales organization and other functions to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Monitor and control costs within the site(s), review and approve expenses, and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization. Implement cost control measures to achieve financial targets.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making processes. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide insights on financial performance drivers to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting, safeguard company assets, and comply with financial regulations and organizational policies. Conduct periodic reviews to identify and address any control gaps.
• Collaborate effectively with cross functional both at the site and across Medevio, providing financial insights, guidance, and support to drive business performance and achieve strategic objectives. Act as a trusted advisor to the site management team, providing financial expertise on operational decisions.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems, and reporting. Streamline workflows, automate manual tasks, and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
• Other duties may be assigned as required.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, or related field required, Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in financial management, accounting, or related roles; previous work at an Assistant Controller level or equivalent.
• Multi-year experience in manufacturing controlling at a site-level, working closely with the shop floor.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Highly skilled in MS-Excel; good knowledge in ERP systems (preferably SAP), databases and MS-PowerPoint; know-how in BI tools is a plus (Tableau, Qlik etc.).
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to independently plan, structure and execute complex tasks and initiatives.
• Proficiency in financial analysis techniques, financial modeling, and using financial management systems.
• Demonstrated business acumen.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate at all levels in the organization, fluent in English.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing teams, fostering a positive work culture, and driving performance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Medevio is committed to providing competitive total compensation and benefits packages. The expected hiring range for this position is between $130,000 and $170,000 based upon a full-time schedule. This is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. Base salaries are determined by taking a variety of factors in account, including, but not limited to, candidate qualifications, geographic locations, market conditions and internal equity. This position is bonus eligible, with a target bonus of 15%. Our total compensation package includes eligibility for comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan with company match, education reimbursement, paid parental leave and paid time off.
