Overview

We are hiring an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee civil and site development projects in Albany, NY.

KCI Technologies, Inc. is a 100% employee‑owned engineering, consulting and construction firm serving clients nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve on multiple project teams and support the development of civil/site designs and drawings.
• Manage civil and land development projects, internal project teams, client relations, permitting and approval processes.
• Oversee project management, client interaction, technical and fee proposal preparation, scope and budget development, engineering studies, technical reports, QA/QC reviews, and business development.
• Provide mentorship, supervisory support, and maintain rigorous communication and detail orientation.
• Demonstrate business development and project management experience over the last 4‑6 years.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently and collaborate with a diverse team.
• Preferred: 10+ years of experience.

Qualifications

Education and/or Skills Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in related field (AEC industry) and minimum 6 years of related professional experience, or 10 years of equivalent professional experience.
• Track record of expanding project management duties.
• Proven experience managing larger-scale projects or programs.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project‑management software and tools.
• Knowledge of industry standards, QA/QC, and safety protocols.
• Effective problem‑solving skills in fast‑paced environments.
• Strong negotiation skills for contracts, scope changes, and stakeholder agreements.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles for project budgets and financial reporting.

Education and/or Work Experience Preferred:

• Master's Degree in related field (AEC industry).

Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations Required:

• Complete KCI PM Training, Contract Risk Training, and pass the PM Board within 6 months of start date.
