Job summary

Dewberry Engineers Incorporated is seeking a Project Engineer in Pennsylvania to handle site/civil development projects with 5–10 years of progressive design experience. The candidate must be a licensed PE and proficient in AutoCAD and Civil3D, with strong stormwater design capabilities and the ability to work with clients and teams across counties in PA/NJ.

The role requires dependable communication, ability to manage multiple projects, and willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• PE is required.

• Experience in stormwater management design techniques.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil3D.

Responsibilities

• The Project Engineer will perform civil engineering design and drafting using AutoCAD, Civil3D, and hydraulics software.
• Prepare graphics, exhibits, site/civil construction plans and specifications.
• Communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, subconsultants, and county/agency staff.
• Support Practice Leads and Management, and meet project deadlines and budgets.
• Willingness to travel; driving record must be clean.

Responsibilities

The work required by the Project Engineer is diverse and ranges from general civil engineering duties to technical work that requires strong capabilities in AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, hydraulics software, and Adobe Acrobat.

• The Project Engineer will also be required to learn and become proficient in Dewberry engineering practices and standards, and other Dewberry-specific software programs.

Required Skills & Experience

• BS degree in Civil Engineering.
• PE is required.
• 5-10 years of progressive design experience directly related to site/civil development projects in the PA and/or NJ area.
• Experience in stormwater management design techniques.
• Supports Practice Leads and Management.
• Meets project and client deadlines.
• Works in a timely fashion to meet project budgets.
• Prepares graphics, exhibits, site/civil construction plans and specifications.
• Communicates effectively with clients, coworkers, subconsultants, and county/agency review staff.
• Composes technical reports, permit documents, memorandums and other written communication such as email.
• Handles multiple concurrent projects.
• Working knowledge of NJ and/or PA land development permitting and approval processes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil3D.
• Other duties as required.
• Driving is a requirement of the position. A clean driving record is required.
