Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services seeks an Intern/Co-op – Site/Civil Engineering for Summer 2027 in Dallas, TX. You will support site feasibility studies, fieldwork, technical reports, and design plans, collaborating with industry leadership on various land development projects.

Gain hands-on experience in engineering design, calculations, and documentation while working with AutoCAD/Civil 3D and a team‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a four-year or advanced degree in Civil Engineering.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD or Civil 3D and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, design and permitting of civil engineering, land development and infrastructure projects.
• Assist with preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates and design plans using engineering software.
• Analyze soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics using reports, maps, drawings and data.
• Support zoning, ordinance and permit assessments and sidewalk estimations and feasibility analyses.
• Provide field inspection services as needed.
• Apply engineering knowledge and advanced mathematics.
• Collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments.
• Perform other duties as requested.
