Job summary

Langan is seeking an Intern/Co-op – Site/Civil Engineering to join its collaborative team in Dallas, TX. This role will support site feasibility studies, field work, technical report preparation and calculations, and pre-construction condition documentation.

In this position you will expand your knowledge by partnering with industry leadership on a variety of land development projects, gaining hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and design plans.

Qualifications

• Student actively pursuing a four year or advanced degree in civil engineering; GPA of 3.0+ preferred.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Travel may be required based on business needs and project assignments.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, design and permitting of civil engineering, land development and infrastructure projects.
• Assist with the preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates and design plans using engineering software.
• Evaluate soil, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and geologic data for planning and design.
• Support zoning, permit assessments, sidewalk estimations, and project feasibility analyses.
• Provide field inspection services as needed.
• Collaborate with team members on project tasks.
• Perform other duties as requested.
