Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a Site/Civil Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in our Danville, VA office to assist in a variety of site development projects for commercial and government clients.

You'll contribute to grading and roadway design, stormwater management, and coordination with design teams, while gaining hands-on experience and exposure to real project environments in a supportive, learning-focused program.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering.
• Previous internship experience preferred.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Water CAD, and Storm CAD is a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft Office is required.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of site/civil development including grading design, roadway design, storm water management systems design, and erosion and sediment control design.
• Work on design teams to develop detailed design documents for construction plans.
