Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a Site/Civil Staff Engineer in our Fairfax, Virginia office to support major public and institutional clients with civil design, grading, roadway design, stormwater systems, water and sanitary sewer design, and related site development.

The successful candidate will have a BS in Civil Engineering, 2+ years of related experience, FE required, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam Revu; you will mentor junior staff and prepare construction

Qualifications

BS Degree in Civil Engineering or proven equal experience.
Minimum of 2 years of experience directly related to the design and execution of Civil Infrastructure Projects.
FE required.
Experience in the preparation of graphics, exhibits and Site/Civil Construction Plans.
Strong technical expertise and capabilities in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office and Bluebeam Revu.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare and coordinate site/civil design elements.
Work closely with team members and the Project Manager to contribute to successful project delivery.
Mentors entry-level staff and interns in the use of Civil3D.
Prepares construction documents (including plans and specifications); technical reports; engineering analyses; and cost estimates.
Executes assigned tasks in accordance with all quality control and assurance procedures.
Confirms compliance with regulatory requirements and design standards.
