The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and 5–7 years of experience in land development. The role involves preparing site design plans, completing stormwater management designs, and coordinating with project managers. Responsibilities

• Prepare site civil design plans including site layout, grading, drainage, water and sanitary sewer.
• Complete Stormwater Management Designs.
• Develop construction documents, reports, and technical calculations.
• Assist with permitting processes at local and state levels.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support design efforts for commercial, residential, and mixed-use development projects.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Site Civil Designer or Civil Engineer to join our growing Land Development team in Raleigh. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical abilities, a solid understanding of site design principles, and experience working on private or public land development projects within a consulting environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare site civil design plans, including site layout, grading, drainage, water, sanitary sewer, utilities, and erosion control
• Complete Stormwater Management Designs
• Develop construction documents, reports, and technical calculations
• Assist with permitting processes at local and state levels
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary teams
• Support design efforts for commercial, residential, and mixed‑use development projects
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulations

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D required
• Strong understanding of grading, drainage, utility design, and site layout
• EIT certification required; PE license preferred or ability to obtain within 12–18 months
