Job summary

Evergreen is seeking a Forklift Operator to join our Warehouse Team in Richmond, VA. You will unload containers, move pallets, and assist with loading shipments to ensure smooth daily operations.

The role requires 2+ years of forklift experience and current sit-down forklift or electric pallet jack certification. You will help maintain a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unload containers and move pallets to racks, staging locations, and between buildings.
• Consolidate pallets to improve space utilization.
• Receive and distribute products throughout the facility.
• Assist with loading shipments for outbound trucks.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Support warehouse security and promote safety.
• Perform daily equipment checks (battery recharge, lubrication).
• Execute other duties as assigned by manager.

Job Location: Richmond, VA 23224We are currently looking for a Forklift Operator to join our Warehouse Team!

Essential duties and responsibilities

• Unload containers and move pallets from receiving floor to assigned locations on the racks; to temporary staging locations; and between warehouse buildings.
• Consolidate pallets to organize warehouse space and increase/improve space utilization.
• Receive and distribute products or packages throughout facility.
• Assist with loading shipments for outbound trucks.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
• Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck’s battery and lubricating equipment.
• All other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualification requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ of experience as a Forklift Operator or Electric Pallet Jack Operator in a warehouse environment.
• Must have Sit Down Forklift or Electric Pallet Jack certification.
• High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others and promote a safe work environment.
• Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records.
• Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner.
• Good communication skills.
• Team oriented thinking.

Physical demands and abilities

• Regularly sitting on a powered industrial truck.
• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time.
• Having good eye-hand-foot coordination.
• Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights.
• Abilityto work in varying temperatures, depending upon season.
