Job summary

Staffmark Group is seeking a Sit-Down Forklift Operator to join our Urbancrest, OH warehouse on the 3rd shift. You will safely transport materials, support inventory movement, and help maintain efficient warehouse operations.

Requirements include at least 6 months of sit-down forklift experience, ability to operate propane or electric forklifts and pallet jacks, and a strong emphasis on safety and accuracy in daily tasks.

Looking for Sit-Down Forklift Operator jobs in Urbancrest where your equipment skills keep warehouse operations moving? This opportunity lets you safely transport materials, support inventory movement, and help maintain efficient warehouse and distribution operations.

Job Duties

• Separation by destination, shrink wrapping and placarding of pallets.
• Capable of completing various shipment forms and ensure that container counts are consistent with totals shown on shipment forms.
• Operator will not be on a lift the entire shift and will process mail as well

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse training or powered industrial truck training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• Must have at least 6 months of sit down forklift experience
• Capable of operating propane or electric-powered fork trucks and manual pallet jacks.
• Ability to load, unload, move, stack, and organize palletized materials.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and safe equipment operation.
• Ability to accurately identify inventory, shipping documentation, and storage locations.
• Strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and commitment to workplace safety.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or shipping and receiving is preferred.
• Current forklift certification or experience operating multiple classes of powered industrial equipment is beneficial.
• Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate safe operating practices, teamwork, reliability, and productivity are well positioned for success as a Sit-Down Forklift Operator.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb on and off powered industrial equipment throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, move, or reposition materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts in busy warehouse and manufacturing environments.
• Ability to maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and inventory while operating powered industrial vehicles.
