Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a Forklift Associate in Pioneer, OH. The role pays $21.50 per hour on 2nd shift (2pm-10pm) with training on 1st shift for 1–2 weeks.

Responsibilities include operating sit-down forklifts, moving materials, loading/unloading, inventory tracking with scanners, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace. Requires a high school diploma; forklift certification preferred or obtainable within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Stage, label, and track inventory using scanners and systems.
• Perform routine forklift inspections and basic maintenance.
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain accuracy.
• Support shipping and receiving operations.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas following 5S standards.
• Report damaged materials and safety concerns promptly.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and quality procedures.

Sit down forklift transporting material to the different departments within the facility

Job Duties

• Safely operate sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment.
• Deliver raw materials to production areas and remove finished products from manufacturing lines.
• Load and unload trucks, pallets, skids, storage racks, and production materials.
• Stage, label, and track inventory using scanners and inventory systems.
• Perform routine forklift inspections, battery charging, propane tank changes, and basic equipment maintenance.
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Support shipping and receiving operations.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas following 5S standards.
• Report damaged materials, safety concerns, and equipment issues immediately.
• Follow all company safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
• Communicate material shortages and production needs to supervisors.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material handling experience preferred.
• Experience operating sit-down forklifts and other material handling equipment required.
• Basic computer and RF scanner skills for inventory tracking and documentation.
• Experience with loading and unloading trucks, inventory control, and shipping/receiving operations preferred.
• Manufacturing or metal stamping experience is a plus.
• Overhead crane and steel coil handling experience are highly desirable.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work throughout the shift.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to wear required PPE and follow all safety procedures.
