Freddie Mac, through its Single-Family Law Department, seeks an Assistant General Counsel to support mortgage acquisition activities including contract drafting, lender communications, and training materials.

The attorney will advise internal clients on eligibility, Guide matters, and regulatory interactions, and will help develop innovative initiatives while aligning with supervision requirements and policies.

Formación

• JD degree and bar in good standing
• At least 5 years relevant legal experience in-house with a government sponsored entity, government agency, bank or mortgage company, or law firm
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively

Responsabilidades

• Advise internal clients on mortgage eligibility, credit policies and Freddie Mac Seller/Servicer Guide matters
• Draft contract provisions for mortgage loan purchases, including underwriting terms and pricing structures
• Develop and draft innovative, legally complex new initiatives and update the Guide
• Review and edit external communications and training materials relating to new products and policies
• Collaborate with internal peers and Freddie Mac’s conservator/regulator on mortgage purchase eligibility matters and approvals

Educación

Juris Doctor (JD) degree

Bar membership in good standing
