Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a Simulator Technician to conduct technical analysis of F-35 Pilot Training Device implementations and enhancements in alignment with customer specifications. The role requires on-site engagement with customer personnel and maintaining an up-to-date library of technical documentation.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving device issues, delivering training, and coordinating with customers and vendors.

Qualifications

• Security+ certification is required.
• Experience reading drawings and schematics.
• Military fighter aircraft experience preferred.
• Experience as Field Service Engineer/Representative helpful.
• Degree from accredited college or equivalent required.

• Determines technical solution per product and customer specifications.
• Suggests actions to company or customer representatives for coordinated product solutions.
• Assesses product needs per customer specifications.
• Delivers technical training and product briefings to customers, vendors and company personnel.
• Preps training devices for customer use and supports mission-specific preparations.
• Acts as on-site representative to customer organization.
• Maintains DoD 8570 Level IAT-II certification.
• Documents unusual operational/maintenance problems to identify failure trends.
• Communicates effectively in a team environment with customer personnel at all levels.
• Establishes and maintains a library of technical documentation.
• Manages and tracks multiple engineering and logistic support activities with periodic status updates.

Description

The Simulator Technician reports directly to the Lead Simulator Technician and is responsible for conducting technical analysis of product implementations, modifications, and enhancements to F-35 Pilot Training Devices in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoots technical problems and issues with the training devices.
• Determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications.
• Recommend actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution.
• Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications.
• Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives.
• Readies training devices for customer use and assists with mission specific preparations.
• Acts as local on-site representative to customer's organization.
• Maintain DoD 8570 Level IAT-II certification
• Document all unusual operational/maintenance problems to support identifying failure trends.
• Work with and communicate well both orally and written in a team environment as this position involves significant interface with customer personnel at all levels
• Must be a self-starter and have the ability to establish and maintain a library of technical documentation.
• Manage and track multiple engineering and logistic support activities, providing periodic status to the customer and program management team.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

• Security Plus certificate will be REQUIRED.
• Technical Report writing.
• Experience with drawing/schematics reading and interpretation.
• Fault Isolation and problem analysis experience at the sub-system level.
• Military fighter aircraft experience.
• Knowledge of CATIA & System/Software Engineering Environment (S/SEE).
• Previous Field Service FSE/REP experience.

Required Qualifications/Experience :

• Appropriate degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.

Security Clearance Requirements

This position is located at a facility that will require special access clearance.

• Must have an active secret clearance with a completed investigation within the last 6 years.
• Must be able to attain and maintain F-35 Special Access Program (SAP) access.
• Must be a US citizen.
