Job summary

CAE is seeking a Technical Services Maintenance Technician in Dallas to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CAE and non-CAE flight simulators at the CAE Training Center. You will learn, diagnose, and repair simulator systems, perform pre/post-flight tasks, and document activities in the CMMS.

The role requires an Associate degree or technical training, 1 year of related experience, ability to read schematics, and basic soldering/CAD skills.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree (2-year technical degree) or equivalent related technical training.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience related to simulator maintenance, electronics, avionics, automated systems, computer networking, or troubleshooting and repair.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, prints, and schematics.
  • Knowledge of analog and digital electronic theory.
  • Basic experience operating electronic test equipment.
  • Basic soldering and circuit board repair skills.
  • Basic knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on flight simulators and associated simulator systems.
  • Assist in diagnosing and resolving routine issues affecting simulators and related systems.
  • Perform pre-flight and post-flight tasks on assigned simulators.
  • Conduct basic visual alignments.
  • Execute automatic QTG procedures.
  • Use the maintenance management system to document and track maintenance activities.
  • Complete all required training and development activities.
  • Assist with simulator refurbishment projects and hardware modifications.
  • Learn and comply with the CAE Quality Management System.
  • Provide customer support and respond to customer needs in a timely manner.
  • Perform logistics-related activities, including receiving parts, coordinating repairs, and conducting testing and validation.
  • Maintain simulator cleanliness and housekeeping standards as required.
  • Complete administrative tasks associated with the role.

As part of the Technical Services department within CAE's Civil Training and Services division, you will perform all preventative and corrective maintenance tasks on several CAE and non-CAE flight simulators and associated devices at the CAE Training Center.

Description
  • Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on flight simulators and associated simulator systems.
  • Assist in diagnosing and resolving routine issues affecting simulators and related systems.
  • Perform pre-flight and post-flight tasks on assigned simulators.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate degree (2-year technical degree) or equivalent related technical training.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience related to simulator maintenance, electronics, avionics, automated systems, computer networking, or troubleshooting and repair.

  • Ability to work at the primary location in Dallas, Texas.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional experience supporting simulator systems, avionics systems, electronics maintenance, computer networking, or automated systems.
  • Experience using computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Experience performing testing, validation, or equipment refurbishment activities.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and compliance processes.
