Job summary

CAE USA Inc. is seeking a software engineer to join the Training System Support Center in Altus, OK. You will support development, integration, and deployment of training systems, interfacing with simulation platforms and networking components.

Responsibilities include designing and implementing software, troubleshooting, and participating in the full lifecycle from requirements to deployment. A BS in a technical field and 2–4 years experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in CS / SE / EE or related technical field
• 2–4 years in software development, system integration, or technical support
• Foundational software engineering practices and debugging skills
• Ability to follow engineering guidance with minimal supervision
• Familiarity with operating systems, networking, and software installation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Time management and teamwork in a collaborative environment

Responsibilities

• Performs hands-on engineering tasks within a production team, supporting training systems and interfaces
• Completes tasks with direction from lead engineers, ensuring quality and timely delivery
• Communicates project status, risks, and solutions clearly to leads and stakeholders
• Designs, modifies, writes, and implements software applications for simulation environments
• Supports, installs, and troubleshoots software, OS, and simulation components
• Participates in full software lifecycle from requirements to deployment
• Provides technical support across projects, aligned with standards
• Diagnoses product issues and troubleshoots to restore functionality
• Develops practical software solutions following best practices
• Creates and maintains technical documentation
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams for system integration and updates
