Job summary

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health’s Patient Safety Training Center in Lebanon, NH seeks a Simulation Equipment Technician to support preparation, operation, and maintenance of educational simulators and labs.

You will collaborate with faculty, prepare and break down equipment, and ensure simulators and AV systems run smoothly during sessions. This role requires strong problem solving, communication, and adaptability with occasional evening or weekend work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate’s degree or EMT certification preferred.
• 2–3 years of work experience demonstrating strong problem solving.
• Ability to move equipment (<25 lbs) independently and larger items with assistance.
• Excellent interpersonal communication with students, faculty, staff, and customers.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to adapt to changes in role and schedule to meet needs.
• Technical aptitude and ability to learn simulation programs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with faculty to set up and organize equipment for simulation sessions.
• Prepares and breaks down simulators, task trainers, and rooms for lab events.
• Performs day-to-day maintenance and cleaning of equipment and rooms.
• Operates simulation equipment and AV systems during events, ensuring proper function.
• Assists users in the simulation space and with equipment use.
• Maintains connectivity and troubleshoots software, hardware, and network issues.
• Maintains inventory of supplies for lab events.
• Supports role-playing setups and moulage with manikins and standardized patients.
• Inputs daily patient data for simulated cases in eDH.
• Programs software to model physiological responses per specifications.
• Assists Operations Manager and Director as needed for center functionality.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
