Job summary

Muon Space in San Jose, CA seeks a Software Engineer to join our Simulation team, blending web-service reliability with high-performance compute work. This role will be a major contributor to our in-house Simulation tools, adapting our team’s numerical computation expertise into complete products relied on throughout the company.

This position is hybrid and requires on-site work in our San Jose office three days per week.

Qualifications

• BS or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years as a software engineer in a team environment.
• Proficiency in Python and C++.
• Willingness to operate in novel technical domains.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and support in-house simulation services meeting stakeholder needs.
• Collaborate with physical-modeling experts to integrate models into products.
• Implement improvements to simulation products based on client feedback.
• Work with Software Test to apply tools to testing scenarios.
• Contribute to work estimation and planning.
• Assist team success against performance metrics.
