Job summary

Wayve in London is seeking a Software Engineer for the Core Simulation team. You will develop the simulation system used to evaluate and improve Wayve’s driving intelligence, working with C++ and Python across production-quality components.

You will integrate driving-stack components and simulated robot systems, supporting multiple configurations and focusing on reproducibility, observability and performance. A hybrid London role offers collaboration in offices and flexible home time.

Qualifications

• Production-level software development experience in a collaborative team
• Strong C++ and Python skills with ability to own features end-to-end
• Experience with simulation, robotics, autonomous systems or similar complex multi-component software

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production-quality components within Wayve’s simulation system using modern C++ and Python.
• Integrate driving-stack components, simulated robot systems and new vehicle-platform capabilities into the shared simulation environment.
• Support different simulation configurations and ensure components interact correctly across applicable workflows.
• Investigate differences between on-road and simulated execution, identifying issues across data, inference and simulated components.
• Improve simulation reproducibility, reliability and debuggability through automated testing and tooling.
• Profile and improve simulator performance for large evaluation workloads.
• Collaborate with internal users and adjacent teams to clarify requirements and deliver scoped improvements.
• Contribute to technical designs and evolve the codebase for maintainability.
