Job summary

Wayve is seeking a Software Engineer for its Robot Software Runtime Platform team in London. You will optimize a high-performance embedded Linux stack, instrument code with profiling tools, and collaborate with multiple teams to improve runtime efficiency across the autonomous driving data loop.

You will work in a hybrid environment with offices and workshops, balancing on-site collaboration and remote work to accelerate experimentation and feature delivery.

Qualifications

• Proficient in high-performance embedded Linux software development in C++.
• Experience profiling to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
• Strong understanding of OS scheduling and memory hierarchies.
• Ability to evaluate experiments methodically.

Responsibilities

• Investigate latency and performance bottlenecks across the software stack.
• Instrument code with profiling tools and metrics to collect performance data.
• Integrate and evaluate profiling tools to benchmark and baseline performance.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to prioritise optimization efforts by impact.
• Optimize critical code paths to improve runtime efficiency and reduce latency.
