Job summary

Insitu, a Boeing Company, seeks a Software Engineer on the Simulation team to design, develop, and test simulation software using modern languages and best practices. You will contribute to modular physics components and integrate AI-enhanced features into engineering workflows.

This role requires collaboration with systems engineers and airframe designers, with in-office work 3 days per week near Bingen, WA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 0–3 years of relevant professional experience in software, simulation, modeling, or related engineering roles.
• Equivalent combinations of education, internships, and project experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test simulation software using modern programming languages and best practices.
• Develop modular simulation physics components such as models for aerodynamics, actuators, payloads, and environmental effects.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, simulation developers, and airframe designers to align software with aircraft requirements.
• Learn to use AI tools and basic machine learning techniques to improve simulation fidelity and workflows.
