Job summary

Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, part of Cottage Health, seeks a Simulation Operations Specialist to manage the daily operations of simulation technology, including IT systems, manikins, audiovisual and moulage components in a fast-paced clinical education setting. Preferred candidates have 3 years in healthcare or IT, plus knowledge of simulation-based education.

QUALIFICATIONS:

All job qualifications listed indicate the minimum level necessary to perform this job proficiently.

Education:

• Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a medical or information technology field.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

• Preferred: EMT certification, Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist.

Technical Requirements:

• Required: Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook skills.
• Preferred: Experience with Multi-media hardware/software; knowledge of simulation manikin software.

Years of Related Work Experience:

• Required: 3 years previous related experience in health care or information technology field.
• Preferred: 3-5 years advanced skill and/or knowledge in technology, clinical patient
• interaction, and simulation-based education.

*Pay for non-physician positions is determined based on related years of experience and internal equity. Eligible employees may also receive additional forms of compensation, including shift differentials, on-call pay, incentive pay, and bonus opportunities, where applicable. Manager and above positions may participate in Cottage Health's annual management incentive program. Physician compensation is determined based upon specialty and may include bonus potential.
