Job summary

Delta College in Michigan seeks a Part‑Time Healthcare Simulation Educator to develop and implement simulation experiences across the human life span for health programs. You will operate all simulation equipment in the Clinical Simulation Lab, ensure accreditation standards are met, and collaborate on scheduling of labs, with evening/weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge; major(s) required: Nursing.
• 3‑7 years of related experience.
• Current, unrestricted license or certification in a healthcare discipline relevant to assigned simulations.

• Prepare and deliver learning experiences across multiple disciplines using low, medium, and high‑fidelity simulation.
• Ensure high‑fidelity equipment functions properly and coordinate maintenance.

Position Summary

The Part‑Time Healthcare Simulation Educator is directly responsible for developing and implementing simulation experiences across the human life span. Simulation experiences are to reflect both discipline‑specific learning outcomes as well as multidisciplinary learning outcomes for all of the health programs. The role requires operating all simulation equipment in the Clinical Simulation Lab, ensuring accreditation standards are met, and collaborating with the coordination and scheduling of simulation and skill lab rooms. The educator carries out structured learning sessions on requested topics, provides tutoring, and requires flexibility in scheduling including evenings and weekends.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer meaningful learning experiences across multiple disciplines by incorporating low, medium, and high‑fidelity simulation to augment student practice.
• Ensure high‑fidelity equipment functions properly and refer for maintenance and upgrades to prolong equipment life.
• Maintain and update case scenarios to ensure currency in practice.
• Provide structured learning sessions in collaboration with faculty to meet student competency and success needs.
