Job summary

Montgomery College in Maryland seeks a part-time Development Specialist to support statewide simulation-based education initiatives. You will plan, implement, and evaluate faculty development programs and collaborate with nursing education programs.

The role focuses on creating asynchronous and synchronous learning resources, workshops, and simulation activities, with hybrid/remote options depending on project needs.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree (PhD, DNP, EdD, or related) in nursing, healthcare simulation, education, or related field.
• Current Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) certification required.
• Experience in simulation-based education and faculty development.
• Knowledge of healthcare simulation standards and best practices.
• Experience facilitating educational programs, workshops, or simulation activities.
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative skills.
• Experience with educational technology platforms, online learning tools, and curriculum development.

Responsibilities

• Teach and facilitate courses; assist with curriculum and resource development.
• Support planning, coordination, and implementation of faculty development initiatives.
• Facilitate or co-facilitate courses, workshops, webinars, and simulation-based activities.
• Develop asynchronous and synchronous educational content, including online modules and resources.
• Collaborate on design, implementation, and evaluation of simulation-related initiatives.
