Job summary

BCforward is seeking a highly motivated Computer Vision Engineer to join onsite in Sunnyvale, CA. You will develop camera and sensor simulation pipelines to generate synthetic datasets for CV/ML applications and collaborate with camera architects, ML engineers, and imaging teams to optimize dataset composition.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, ECE, or related field.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably with ML infra.
• 5+ years of Python and C++ development experience.
• Strong understanding of camera and sensor simulation fundamentals.
• Experience with ML training/evaluation workflows; PyTorch preferred.
• Experience with large-scale datasets and data versioning.
• Familiarity with Linux and Git.
• Experience building ML models and CV pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop, run, and iterate on camera and sensor simulation pipelines to generate synthetic datasets.
• Configure simulation scenes, camera parameters, and sensor characteristics.
• Generate and deliver training and evaluation datasets to camera architecture and ML teams.
• Run ML training and evaluation workflows, preferably using PyTorch.
• Analyze model metrics to improve dataset composition and quality.
• Validate and quality-check synthetic data before delivery.
• Develop and maintain dataset-generation scripts and tooling.
• Work with large-scale datasets and data versioning.
• Collaborate with CV, ML, camera, sensor, and hardware teams.
