PTR Global is seeking a Simulation CV/ML Engineer III in Sunnyvale, CA (Hybrid) for a 12+ month contract to lead camera/sensor simulation and ML data generation efforts. The role emphasizes running simulation pipelines, delivering training data, and supporting ML model evaluation with deep knowledge of camera fundamentals.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in software/ML infrastructure, Python and C++, and hands-on experience with ML training workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of software engineering with ML infrastructure focus.
• 5+ years of Python and C++ experience.
• Strong understanding of camera/sensor simulation fundamentals and ML workflows.
• Experience with ML training/evaluation (PyTorch preferred).
• Experience handling large-scale dataset generation and versioning.

Responsibilities

• Run and iterate on camera/sensor simulation pipelines to generate synthetic datasets on demand.
• Deliver training and evaluation data to camera architects and ML teams under tight timelines.
• Support ML algorithm training and evaluation using the generated data—run training jobs and produce metrics.
• Configure simulation scenes and sensor parameters to match customer specifications.
• Validate and quality-check generated data before hand-off.
• Maintain and improve simulation tooling and dataset generation scripts.
