Job summary

TGW Logistics is seeking a Simulation Consultant to validate and optimize automated warehousing solutions using established TGW simulation models. You will design and run experiments to test performance against throughput and service-level targets.

You will translate data-driven findings into actionable recommendations, identify bottlenecks, and propose strategies to reduce cost and improve ROI, while challenging design assumptions across the Solutions Design team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, automation, or solutions design.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret operational data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Thorough knowledge of warehouse automation systems.

The Simulation Consultant is responsible for validating and optimizing automated warehousing solutions using pre-developed simulation models. As part of the Solutions Design team, this role evaluates proposed system designs by conducting simulation experiments, performing sensitivity analyses, and testing various operational scenarios. The Simulation Consultant uses data-driven insights to assess system performance against throughput and service-level targets, while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and minimize equipment requirements to improve competitiveness and the ROI of the design.
