Job summary

University of Kansas Medical Center invites applications for a full-time Simulation and Clinical Faculty in the School of Nursing. The role focuses on clinical education with an emphasis on simulation for prelicensure programs. Rank and salary are commensurate with experience.

The faculty member will lead hands-on lab instruction, simulation-based learning, learn to assess competency, and foster evidence-based nursing practice while promoting clinical judgment and professional behaviors.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Nursing.
• RN license in KS or eligibility.
• 1 year of clinical nursing practice.
• CHSE or CNE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach in clinical skills and simulation laboratory settings including prebriefing/debriefing and competency-based assessment.
• Provide real-time observation and coaching to ensure safe clinical practice.
• Contribute to course, curriculum, and simulation development and evaluation.
• Participate in service-related activities to support the School of Nursing mission.
