Job description

Standard Chair of Gardner is looking for dependable, hardworking, and focused individuals to fill multiple positions, including Silk Screener / Repairs, Furniture Assembler / Sander, and Material Handler. Candidates must be reliable with a solid work history and possess a positive attitude. The roles require employees to spend most of their shift on their feet, work safely and efficiently, and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and work standards.

Job Requirements:

1. Silk Screener / Repairs:
   • Prepare screen printing stencils.
   • Mix and load ink.
   • Clean and prep parts.
   • Read and understand work orders to apply the correct screened artwork to furniture components.
   • Use sandpaper, rubbing oil, spray guns, and hand tools to repair furniture.
   • Lift up to 25 lbs.
   • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
   • Meet deadlines, sometimes under pressure.
2. Furniture Assembler / Sander:
   • Follow instructions from trainers to assemble and sand furniture, using hand and air tools, fasteners, and various grit sandpapers.
   • Adhere strictly to approved samples and procedures.
   • Lift up to 25 lbs.
3. Material Handler:
   • Operate forklifts and other equipment to load/unload materials (valid 1D hoisting license required; company pays for license after probation if performance is satisfactory).
   • Handle, move, and store hazardous and non-hazardous materials manually or with pallet jacks (electric pallet jack license optional).
   • Monitor inventory levels, document deliveries, and transport products to designated locations.
   • Lift/carry up to 35 lbs.
   • Keep the environment clean and organized.
   • Support warehouse and production staff for smooth operations.
