Job summary

Silfex Inc., A Lam Research Company, is seeking a Process Engineer 3 to develop, optimize, and control chemical etch processes for silicon and brittle materials used in semiconductor devices. This role emphasizes safety, quality, and meeting customer requirements, with leadership in etch technology and process establishment.

The candidate will define process conditions, establish quality controls, and drive continuous improvement using SPC, lean methods, and 6-Sigma approaches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
• 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or semiconductor industry.
• Knowledge of wet chemistries focused on Silicon etching.
• Proficient in reading part drawings and interpreting GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement wet etch chemistry processes in manufacturing.
• Evaluate new tool capabilities and modify existing tool for new product processing.
• Define process conditions to achieve safety standards, quality, cost, and capacity.
• Establish critical to quality process parameters and work with manufacturing to define controls.
• Partner with R&D to receive new etch technologies and apply them for manufacturing.
• Develop and establish process capability and control with SPC and engineering controls.
• Plan projects, budgets, and ROI to meet annual operating plans.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support chemical etch process requirements.
