Job summary
SARA is seeking a talented Signal Processing Engineer for our Cypress, CA location to develop optical and acoustic signal processing algorithms and analyze performance on long-standing and new programs for defense and commercial customers. You will work with other engineers and technicians, use Matlab for algorithm development, and support software teams while communicating complex signaling systems.
A MS in signal processing and 8–10 years of experience are required; DoD clearance is highly
Qualifications
- MS degree in signal processing or related field.
- 8–10 years of experience creating signal processing algorithms.
- Proficient with Matlab for algorithm development.
- U.S. citizen eligible for government security clearance.
- Light physical effort; lift up to 20 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Create innovative optical and acoustic signal processing algorithms
- Analyze test data to assess algorithm performance and drive improvements
- Support software team's implementation of the algorithms
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex signaling systems
- Other duties as required and needed for the program
