Job summary

About the job Signal Processing Engineer

Signal Processing Engineer-Multiple Opportunities

AligningTalent Consultants is working with several of the leading providers of signal processing solutions for the defense industry.

Responsibilities:
The role of the Signal Processing Engineer involves a range of tasks, each demanding a meticulous approach and a profound understanding of the field.My clients are seeking an experienced developer with strong skills specific to signal processing algorithms and waveforms for communications, networking, and electronic warfare systems. The role will range from algorithm concept development/modeling to software implementation/test.

A typical assignment commences with an extensive literature survey of the most advanced receiver algorithms. This involves identifying the most promising candidates, followed by conducting an expert and mission‑relevant trade study using MATLAB.

There will also be opportunities to apply this process in developing new waveforms and systems for electronic attack and electronic protection. These assignments will encompass the full life cycle of fielded products.

Desired Qualifications:
Experience in electromagnetics, RF design, and acoustics, along with system courses such as SONAR and RADAR, will be advantageous.

Minimum of 5 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD

Skills and Experience You Should Possess:

  • Experience developing signal processing algorithms and software for networking, communications, or electronic warfare applications
  • Strong C++ and Python skills.
    Experience with modern machine learning development frameworks (e.g. Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
    Experience modeling waveform and signal processing algorithms (e.g. Matlab)
  • Additional Desired Skills:
    Experience with real‑time software development
    Experience with containers and orchestration solutions (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Proficiency in prototyping, simulating, and testing systems in MATLAB is a must.

Security Requirement:
