Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Signal Integrity Engineer for Starlink payloads, focusing on SI ownership across the hardware lifecycle. You’ll evaluate silicon architecture, packaging, channel design, and PCB layout oversight to ensure reliable high-speed links from die to die.

You will work with RF, ASIC, mechanical, software, and production teams to define verification processes, optimize channels, and troubleshoot EMI/EMC issues, with opportunities for growth in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or physics.
• 1+ years of hardware or circuit design experience.
• 1+ years with 3D EM tools and high-speed digital design.

Responsibilities

• Specify, design, simulate, verify, qualify, and troubleshoot SI aspects of advanced satellite hardware.
• Collaborate with RF, antenna, ASIC, packaging, mechanical, thermal, software, and production engineers to architect new products.
• Define top-level PCB material specs and channel subcomponents; design transition structures.
• Root cause and fix issues in PCB manufacturing, PCBA test, or satellite integration.
• Establish best practices, simulation workflows, test methodologies, and lab equipment needs for SI on Starlink payloads.
