Job summary

itD is seeking a Signal Integrity Engineer to analyze and resolve signal integrity challenges in high-speed hardware designs, supporting operations and manufacturing production onsite at RTP, NC. The role requires hands-on SI simulation and experience with field-solver tools.

Responsibilities include developing SI simulations, collaborating with cross-functional teams, performing lab measurements with oscilloscopes, TDRs, and VNAs, and documenting findings to guide design decisions.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of signal integrity or hardware design experience.
• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of transmission line theory and high-speed circuits.
• Experience with signal integrity simulation tools and 2D/3D field-solver tools.
• Ability to apply signal integrity concepts to hardware design and troubleshooting.
• Ability to support engineering operations and manufacturing production activities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze signal integrity performance and support hardware designs involving high-speed circuits and transmission lines.
• Develop and evaluate signal integrity simulations using appropriate tools and 2D/3D field-solver software.
• Support engineering operations and manufacturing by identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving signal integrity issues.
• Apply transmission line theory and high-speed circuit fundamentals to evaluate design performance and recommendations.
• Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to support high-speed PCB and package development.
• Conduct laboratory measurements using oscilloscopes, TDRs, and VNAs for validation.
• Document analysis, findings, and recommendations to support design decisions and production activities.
