Position: Signal Integrity Engineer

Responsibilities

• Improve Signal Integrity and Power Integrity (SI/PI) performance, measure, characterize, and complete production design analysis.
• Perform lab measurements and correlate results with simulations to refine future models.
• Model and design power distribution and high‑density I/O on PCBs, packages, connectors, and probe cards with respect to reflections, bandwidth, and crosstalk.
• Provide, document, and train the Design Organization on design constraints, specifications, and solutions to PCB and package layout based on SI.
• Support probe card development within the Design Group by improving the Design Organization’s understanding of SI fundamentals, resulting in shorter cycle time and higher quality product.

Education Required

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Experience Required

2 years of experience as a Signal Integrity Engineer or related occupation.

Special Requirements

• At least 1 year of prior work experience in each of the following:
• Transmission line theory, impedance control, and stack‑up design.
• Analyzing board files using Cadence Allegro to ensure optimal SI/PI performance.
• Measuring s‑parameters of PCBs using a Vector Network Analyzer.
• Characterizing the performance of a trace in a PCB using a Time Domain Reflectometer.
• Performing and properly handling RF measurement micro‑probes to measure PCBs.
• Analyzing s‑parameters and TDR data to characterize PCBs.
• Layout guidelines for minimizing crosstalk, reflections, and EMI.
