Job summary

FASTSIGNS Tigard is hiring a Production Specialist to manage sign production workflows, run printers, and coordinate materials. You will follow layouts, prepare substrates, and ensure high-quality finishes while maintaining profitability and team safety.

The role emphasizes hands-on skills with vinyl, laminating, and color accuracy. Training, advancement opportunities, and a collaborative environment are offered to help you grow your skills within the FASTSIGNS network.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of sign production experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift 50+ pounds.
• Ability to work under pressure to produce high-volume, high-quality work.
• Basic operation of printers and graphic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Follow a layout to place vinyl or graphic images on a substrate.
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application (cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning).
• Weed excess vinyl and ensure image quality.
• Operate and maintain printers.
• Perform QA pre- and post-production checks.
• Finish with laminating and mounting printed pieces.
• Report inventory levels to managers.
• Keep storage areas clean and organized.

FS Tigard is hiring for a full-time Production Specialist to join our team!

Core Tasks/goal

Leader that understands the whole picture - people, schedules, materials, equipment, quality, deadlines, workflow, and profitability.

Keep projects moving, lead production team, solve problems quickly, create accountability through self initiative.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily production workflow (schedules/priorities/deadlines)
• Lead, coach, train
• Proactive in identifying problems before they impact deadlines
• Commitment to quality
• Help coordinate materials and inventory needs
• Oversee equipment maintenance
• Work closely with sales, design, project management, and leadership
• Understand that successful production isn’t simply getting a job completed - it’s getting them completely correctly, efficiently, with profitability, while not sacrificing our team mission.
• PMS understanding, ability to paint, and mix paint is a plus**

A Successful FASTSIGNS Sign Production Specialist Will

• Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic image(s) on a predetermined substrate or medium
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application to include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etc
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images. Weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of images
• Operate and maintain printer(s)
• Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards
• Perform finishing operations such as laminating and/or mounting of printed pieces
• Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the center manager/production manager or franchisee.
• Clean and maintain storage areas

Ideal Qualifications For FASTSIGNS Sign Production Specialist

• 1-2 years of experience in sign production preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (4 hours or more)
• Ability to lift 50 or more pounds
• Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back and forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate
• Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work
• Ability to use light power equipment

Pay rate DOE

Compensation: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
