Job summary

Carle Health is hiring a Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, adjusting plans as needed. The role acts as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students in a dynamic, multi-hospital system.

New grads may qualify for a $5,000 sign-on bonus and experienced candidates for $7,500, with relocation available for moves over 50 miles. Licensure and ongoing CE are required. Join a team delivering quality care across central Illinois.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) with IDFPR.
• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).
• Attend required continuing education on acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient transfers using safe body mechanics.
• Treat patients with empathy, dignity, and engagement.
• Design and adjust a care plan with goals and outcomes.
• Educate patients, families and staff on care plans.
• Evaluate findings to determine PT diagnoses and outcomes.
• Perform examinations with reliable methods related to symptoms.
• Document in the EMR per CTSCP67 policy.
• Screen patients to assess therapy needs and effectiveness.
• Supervise support personnel per legal standards.
• Complete annual education to meet program requirements.
• Evaluate orthopedic and neurologic impairments.
• Create care plans based on deficits and patient goals.
• Perform ROM, strength, and daily task testing.
• Document daily care and billing in therapy EMR.
• Apply tape for stabilization or facilitation of movement.
• Utilize modalities like ultrasound and iontophoresis.
• Communicate progress and treatment with referring providers.
