Job summary

HCA Florida JFK Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist to evaluate patient function, design recovery plans, and apply evidence-based therapies to restore mobility. You will work with multidisciplinary teams in acute, inpatient rehab, or home health settings.

The role requires a degree in physical therapy, 1 year of experience (acute care preferred), an active state license, and BLS certification within 30 days. Clinical education and ongoing documentation are part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience, preferably in an acute care setting.
• Active state physical therapy license (e.g., Florida Department of Health).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift or move patients and equipment up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and design personalized recovery plans.
• Deliver evidence-based physical therapy treatments to reduce pain and restore mobility.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on exercises and safe device use.
• Record treatment outcomes and adjust plans as needed.
• Coordinate transitions of care with doctors, nurses, and other specialists.
